An absolutely wonderful alternative to a Yamaha U1. This European made Petrof is in fantastic condition and plays really well with the typical mellow tone of a Petrof. It’s such a well rounded sound without any harshness. The action is light and she plays perfect with great control and dynamics from pp to ff are easily achieved.
She has a middle practice pedal too for some midnight practice. The casework on these Petrof’s are a little shallower than that of an equivalent Yamaha and would suit someone who is looking for a less imposing piano.
Sacha is a total Yamaha fan but he would choose this over a Yamaha U1 if he had to pick one for himself!!!!!. Come and play her at our showroom to see why 🙂

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This Petrof 118 is in fantastic condition. The only real blemishes (and these are tiny) are a hairline crack in the polyester on the bottom of the left leg (around 20mm) and one just at the right side of the lock (about 10mm). We have added photos of these and as you can see they are very insignificant and I don’t think you would find a used 118 in better condition. We are overly critical of our pianos so you can rest assured she will be as described. How many other sellers would do that?

In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
