Petrof model V professional grand piano - Renner action upgrade

Stunning Professional level European built Petrof model V grand piano.  What a simply stunning instrument.  She has a rich Mahogany case with very minimal case fading.  Try finding another Petrof of this age with so little fading……you would struggle.  Don’t confuse this one with most of the other Petrof model V’s for sale.  This has the optional Renner action upgrade which is a superior action to the standard Detoa action that most model V’s came with and was a considerable cost option.  She is ultra smooth and ultra responsive.  
 
We were really impressed with the overall sound of her when we got her.  She isn’t a huge grand piano at 160cm in depth but the sound generated is far more than most other grand pianos of this size and even bigger.  The bass is very strong and the middle and treble is much more lively than you would expect.  Most people assume Petrof’s are a bit soft with sound but this Petrof sits between that and the more lively sounding Yamaha C series.  Modern Petrof grand pianos are not that common so we don’t come across them too much.  
 
She has been tuned to A440 concert pitch and all tuning pins are tight and correct with very stable tuning.  She is voiced perfectly, not too bright, not too mellow.  
She would suit all level of pianist from a very very lucky beginner to a professional pianist.  You just need to come and play her to understand why we are raving about her.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
She isn’t immaculate but is still a fabulous looking piano and we would think she is the best model V in mahogany that you can find.  Petrof’s of this era were known to suffer badly with sun bleaching but this piano was kept covered up when not in use.  The main bit of fade as always is just at the rear where the lid is folded back.  It’s all quite uniform and looks worse in our photos due to our low spotlight ceiling pointing straight down above the piano.   There are a few tiny 2mm blemishes to point out.  One on the right side of the keyboard lid that can’t be seen when the key lid is up and one on the curved side.  All shown in the photos.  From 3 feet away she looks nearly as new.  The final thing of note is a round ‘cloud’ mark on the right side of the music stand where the metronome was stood on a pad.  Again nothing that really detracts from the overall look but we are always honest in our descriptions and no one has ever said the piano isn’t what we said.  In fact they think we are crazy for pointing marks out as no one else does this specifically, they just say wear and tear.
