Pleyel 131 upright piano in Gloss Black - Professional
How rare are these!!!!!!!! We have never had one in stock before and are extremely hard to source in the UK. The equivalent new price if they were still available would have been around £15,000 so you can see where she sits in the top level of upright pianos.
Professional level piano for the discerning pianist who prefers a slightly warmer sound to the ever popular Yamaha U3. Don’t confuse this a new Pleyel which are now made in China, this Pleyel was hand built in France and uses some of the best components available. The Renner action is a pleasure to play and the sound from her is absolutely delicious and she has a light / medium touch. This was the most expensive and exclusive of the Pleyel pianos made and is 131cm high. It's the same height as a Yamaha U3 but in a more elegant case. She is such a well built piano and has great brass detailing on the legs and an opening top vent for a bigger sound. Absolute quality.
Rather than a ‘quiet pedal’ in the middle she has a true Sostenuto pedal like most large top of the range pianos.
She plays any type of music with ease and class You really must come and play her if you are looking for that special piano. In our opinion it's even better than a Yamaha U3 and ultimately much more exclusive. We will be sad to see her leave as she does have a grandeur about her.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This piano really is in very good condition. We have carried out a couple of small polyester smart repairs on the case on the front left foot and the back rear corners (so common to find now with amateur piano movers 😡). They can only be seen in certain lights and they certainly don’t detract from the overall look of the piano. free to come and try and find it. We are overly critical of our pianos so you can rest assured she will be better than described. How many other sellers would do that? Check the pictures !!!!!!!!!!

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied. In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
