Richter 118 upright piano in gloss black. This piano is in very good condition. One owner from new in a private house. The action is in great condition. It is just slightly smaller than the ever popular Yamaha U1 so has a good rounded bass and clear treble. It has a modern sound and we would describe it as medium bright. A good all round piano suited to beginner and intermediate players. It's quite an impressive little piano for the price and although not quite as polished as a Yamaha U1 or Kawai K300 she is significantly cheaper so ideal for those on a budget who want 90% of a Yamaha U1 at 50% of the price.
If your looking for a great all round beginner / intermediate level piano than this is perfect. RRP on the piano was £4750 so a great saving on new.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
The Waldstein piano looks fantastic and is in good condition. There is a small 2mm touch up on the right leg bottom and that is about it. Some light dusting scratches on top as is always the case with gloss black pianos. We have pointed these out in the photos and as you can see are very insignificant. We just like to give a good honest description of our pianos and are very critical but it has always served us well with people getting pianos much better than they expect.

Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
