Schimmel 118 modern upright piano - matt dark oak

A Genuine Braunschweig German made Schimmel in the rare 118cm size (most are 112cm). The extra height gives the bass that little bit more and she sounds glorious. She is equipped with a full Renner action and plays with a touch that is just that little bit better than other pianos at this price. She has a middle practice pedal if you fancy some midnight practice without annoying the neighbours!
These Schimmel pianos are excellent and we don’t think you would find a better playing and sounding piano for under £2500. If you know your pianos you know what a bargain this is.
We would be happy to recommend this piano to anyone from beginner to concert standard. A really classy instrument with great heritage and made of the top of the line components.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any marks or small details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This Schimmel has always been owned privately and for the last 15 years she has lived in a busy household where she was rarely used as a piano but as a shelf and music book store. Due to this there are various chips, scratches and dinks around the cabinet. From 6ft away she looks in excellent condition but upon closer inspection you can see the marks and touch ups. We have spent time doing some small casework repairs and touch ups and she is still very presentable. There are these marks all over the piano so there is no point in us highlighting them individually but the pictures give a good account of the piano. We can send hi res photos to you if needed. If you are looking for a mint piano this is not the piano for you but if you are looking for a superb instrument that still looks presentable she really is a great find and a huge saving on the normal price. We are overly critical of our pianos so you can rest assured she will be better than described. How many other sellers would do that? Check the pictures !!!!!!!!!!

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied. In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view a 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may be part refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. If you put a new tyre on a car you would describe the car as refurbished would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
DELIVERY INFO
Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ. We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges. We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves. Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
