Yamaha G5 professional grand piano - Gloss black
Stunning and rare Professional level Yamaha G5 piano. At 200cm it sounds much richer than typical smaller grands. Effortless bass and a clean and clear tenor and treble section. If you come and play this lovely piano you will understand why the Yamaha grand pianos are so well thought of in professional circles. The G5 was made in Japan in Yamaha's top factory to ensure the best quality and this piano will last you a lifetime. We love Yamaha’s ever popular G3 / C3 but this G5 takes it up another level with the sound it generates.
This size grand piano is always a great find as there aren’t that many that come onto the market. At over 6ft in length and a new equivalent price of over £40k they don’t exactly sell in huge numbers.
Our G5 is in amazing condition and would look stunning in all settings. The action is light to medium and can keep up with all levels of playing from beginner to Concert level. The G and C range of Yamaha grand pianos play with ease and you really can get a lot out of them. Some pianos lend themselves to a certain type of music but this G5 is a great all rounder. She is just as happy playing Chopin as she is Adele.
She has been tuned to A440 concert pitch and all tuning pins are tight and correct with very stable tuning. She is voiced perfectly, not too bright, not too mellow.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
This particular Yamaha G5 is in very very good condition throughout. We have carried out over 50 hours of polishing preparation on here and the finish is like a mirror. There are no noticeable marks that jump out at you and she has a superb high gloss shine. There are only a couple of very small imperfections. There are a couple of very small marks on the left side top leg mount. (photographed but looks worse than it is due to the camera flash). There is a tiny touch up on the lid bar end and a few extremely small 2mm marks on the key slip. There is a small 6mm mark on the left side of the music stand. We have photographed and pointed out all of these for you to see. We are overly critical of our assessment of our pianos and during preparation we use high powered LED lights to find these imperfections so in a home environment you would struggle to see them. You will not be disappointed. If you come and view this amazing piano in our showroom you will think she is a new piano such is the condition and nothing stands out.
You are more than welcome to come and view and play the piano at our showroom.

WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS
Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied. In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played. We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points. Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old". We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is. If we say it has some marks around, it does. And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.
One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos. Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted. You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you? Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.
RETURN & REFUND POLICY
If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left. Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.
