Yamaha U1 / DU1A Disklavier upright piano in Gloss Black

Another rare find…….A Japanese Yamaha DU1A upright piano in Gloss black made in  2007.  Don’t confuse this with the earlier disklavier models.  This has full record and playback facilities and also silent option so you can use headphones.  They rarely come up for sale  and she has the new style modern case with the soft close lid and later design. A new price of £17,000 means she is an absolute bargain.
The DU1A is basically a Yamaha U1 fitted with all the electronic package of the disklavier system and she plays and sounds as a young U1 should. 
She has the floppy disk and CD drive as standard and we have also added Bluetooth capabilities so you can stream from apps such as pianostream all the latest hits and they have a vast library of songs.  
The control box you can see on the top of the piano can be moved away from the piano as it is in quite long leads if you want to keep cleaner lines 🙃.  The silent option with headphones is located under the right hand side of the key bed.
She has a few blemishes around her but still very very presentable and we have priced her accordingly.  In immaculate condition she would be £6995 so a huge saving and she still looks amazing.  We can carry out these cosmetic repairs at a cost of £950 to get her looking like nearly new (these are proper polyester repairs) but we thought we would offer her at a more competitive price first and then you can chose 😊
 
The most popular upright piano of the last 50 years, It plays like a Yamaha U1 should with a bright sound and strong even bass. It has a light / medium action and has been tuned to concert pitch and regulated. It comes fully checked by our technician to ensure years of enjoyment. It has a middle practice pedal too for some midnight practice with your headphones on.  There isn't much to say about a Yamaha U1. Great all round pianos. Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.
 
She is in good condition with a few blemishes to point out.  The very back edge on the right side has 3 faint scratches about 4 inches long (photographed) from being pushed into an alcove and catching the wall.  There are 2 small chips on the left hand front cheek.  There are other small blemishes here and there but nothing that stands out and that we can photograph.  We know this might sound a lot but it really isn’t and is what most people would call ‘great condition for age’ but we are honest in our descriptions.  We have photographed these marks and even pointed them out.  She is priced extremely competitively for such a young piano.  We prefer to undersell than oversell.
